Following the resounding success of its recently concluded residential plots scheme, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is planning to introduce a similar scheme in January-February 2024. This new scheme is expected to encompass over 2,000 residential plots of various sizes, with their locations near the forthcoming Noida International Airport. However, the specific sectors for these plots have not been determined yet.
Arun Vir Singh, the Chief Executive Officer of YEIDA, highlighted the strong preference for residential plots, as evidenced by the remarkable response to the authority’s recent residential plot scheme. He mentioned that people are keen to build their homes in proximity to the upcoming Jewar airport, indicating significant demand. Consequently, preparations for launching the new residential scheme have already commenced.
In the earlier scheme, on October 18, the authority conducted a draw for 1,184 residential plots situated in three different sectors. An astonishing 1.4 lakh individuals applied for these plots located in YEIDA sectors 16, 17, and 20 along the Yamuna Expressway.
The acquisition of land for the upcoming scheme is still pending, and the land department of the authority has been instructed to initiate the land acquisition process. It is anticipated that the land acquisition will be finalized by the end of December, making the land available to the authority by January 2024. Consequently, the launch of the new residential plots scheme by the Yamuna Expressway authority is expected in January 2024.
