Uttarakhand CM Initiates and Unveils 160 Projects Worth Rs 415 Crore in Tehri

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a roadshow in Tehri on Tuesday, culminating in the inauguration and laying of foundation stones for 160 projects collectively valued at Rs 415 crore. During the two-kilometer roadshow from Ganesh Chowk to Pratap Inter College, a sizable crowd gathered along the route to extend greetings.

The chief minister took the opportunity to acknowledge and honor members of women’s self-help groups, emphasizing the pivotal role played by the women of Uttarakhand in the statehood movement and the overall development of the state. Dhami underscored the state government’s commitment to women’s empowerment, citing initiatives such as 30% reservation for women in government jobs and the implementation of schemes like Mukhya Mantri Maha Lakshmi Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Aanchal Amrit Yojana, and Mukya Mantri Swarojgar Yojana.

During the event, Dhami administered an oath to students, urging them to contribute to making Uttarakhand drug-free by the year 2025. Additionally, the Uttarakhand chief minister met with his counterpart from Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, at Narendra Nagar in Tehri.

In a post on social media, Sarma expressed gratitude, saying, “Really grateful to Hon’ble Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami ji for meeting me during my stay in Uttarakhand. His hands-on leadership during the Silkyara tunnel rescue was truly inspiring.”
