CM Stalin Launches Infrastructure Projects in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin marked Tuesday with the inauguration of various infrastructure projects and a special commendation for a couple who averted a potential train accident in the state’s Tenkasi district. Among the inaugurated projects were electricity infrastructure initiatives, a range of office buildings for revenue divisional officers, tehsildars, revenue inspectors, and village administrative officers, amounting to a total cost of Rs 7,305.49 crore and Rs 12.27 crore, respectively.

Through a videoconferencing ceremony, CM Stalin also unveiled a pedestrian subway constructed under the Central Square Project by the Chennai Metro Rail Limited at a cost of Rs 9.75 crore.

In recognition of their bravery, the Chief Minister presented a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to farm workers Shanmugaiah and Vadakithiammal, who courageously prevented an express train collision with a truck that had overturned and fallen onto the tracks in Puliyur village on February 25.

Further emphasizing support for innovation, CM Stalin awarded a Startup Innovation Grant of Rs 50,000 and a commendation certificate to Raman and Lakshmanan, twins from Backyard Creators, dedicated to affordable healthcare solutions.
