Ahmedabad Civic Body Plans Another Land Auction After Recent Success

Following the triumph of its recent land auction, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is gearing up for another one, featuring five plots, including two new ones and three unsold plots from the January auction.

The civic body has disclosed that these plots collectively hold a reserve price of Rs. 647.62 crore. The properties in Vatva, Thaltej, Bodakdev, and Vastral are up for grabs, with residential zoning for the plots in Thaltej and Vatva, and commercial purposes for those in Bodakdev and Vastral.

Bidders began registering on Wednesday, with the deadline set for February 21. The auction is scheduled for February 27 for three plots and February 28 for the remaining two.

In the previous auction on January 31, the AMC successfully sold two plots for Rs 109.65 crore. Out of the eight plots initially offered, five were sold, fetching a total of Rs 298.65 crore.

During the January auction, the civic body achieved a noteworthy sale of a 6,657 square metre commercial plot in Makarba, securing Rs 1.51 lakh per sq meter against the base rate of Rs 1.5 lakh. The AMC gained Rs 100.52 crore from the sale of that particular plot.
