Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, set to appear in Prabhas’ upcoming film “Kalki 2898 AD” or “Project K,” has acquired a plot in The Sarayu, a seven-star mixed-use development in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The Mumbai-based developer, The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL), is behind this enclave. The purchased plot, spanning approximately 10,000 square feet, carries an estimated value of Rs 14.50 crore, as per sources in the real estate industry cited by Hindustan Times.
Bachchan’s investment is part of the plotted development within ‘The Sarayu,’ a project that will also feature a five-star palace hotel in collaboration with Leela Palaces, Hotels, and Resorts. The anticipated completion date for the project is March 2028, and its location is strategically positioned 15 minutes away from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and 30 minutes from the Ayodhya International Airport. The grand launch of The Sarayu is scheduled for January 22, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inauguration of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The entire development spans approximately 51 acres.
Expressing his excitement about the investment, Bachchan stated, “I am looking forward to embarking on this journey with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. The timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have forged an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries.”
HoABL Chairman Abhinandan Lodha, commenting on Bachchan’s investment, expressed their delight at welcoming the megastar as the “first citizen” of The Sarayu. Lodha added that Bachchan’s association with the project would elevate it into “a symbol of Ayodhya’s global spiritual significance.”
Amitabh Bachchan is also one of the celebrities invited to attend the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22. Other notable personalities, including Rajinikanth, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, Ram Charan, Arun Govil, Deepika Chikhalia, Sunil Lahri, Anupam Kher, and Kangana Ranaut, are also part of the guest list.
