The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has commenced the registration process for over 780 Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flats situated in Narela, outer Delhi, as part of its Festival Special Housing Scheme 2023. These flats, available for sale under the affordable segment category, will be allocated on a First Come First Serve (FCFS) basis.
DDA officials revealed that the Festival Special Housing Scheme 2023, launched in November 2023, encompasses a total of 32,000 flats, spanning luxury, mid-segment, and affordable housing categories. The latest offering of EWS flats is part of this comprehensive scheme, which has already seen the sale of over 4,000 flats within three months.
The 784 EWS flats are located in sectors A1 and A4 in Narela sub-city, with registrations commencing on February 15. These flats will be allocated on a FCFS basis, and the starting price for EWS flats is Rs 11.5 lakh. The DDA will issue online system-generated demand letters as part of the process.
Notably, the DDA has modified its norms, allowing individuals who already own a house in Delhi to participate in DDA housing schemes. This change, implemented in 2023, aims to boost the sales of DDA flats. The entire application, allotment, and possession process will be conducted online through the DDA website (dda.gov.in/eservices.dda.org.in). Interested applicants can log in using their PAN and other details, select a flat of their choice in preferred localities and floors, and complete the booking process by paying the required amount.
This initiative follows the DDA’s earlier housing schemes, including the July 2023 launch offering 5,623 flats and the 2021 scheme providing 18,000 flats across various categories.
