The construction of a new three-lane bridge over the Gurgaon Canal near Sector 3, as part of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Link Road, is progressing rapidly. Following the placement of girders for the bridge, the next phase involves laying lintels, marking a significant advancement in the project. This bridge is designated to serve as a service road for the expressway. Simultaneously, construction work is underway for placing girders on the flyover above the main road.
The ongoing project involves widening the bypass road of Faridabad to 12 lanes under the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Link Road. At major intersections, underpasses and flyovers are being constructed to enhance traffic flow. The project traverses the Gurgaon Canal Road near Sector Eight, where an existing six-lane bridge is situated. In addition to this, a new three-lane bridge is being constructed for the expressway at this location.
Recently, the construction phase involving the placement of lintels over the girders was initiated after the completion of girder placement. The work is currently in its final stages, and it is anticipated that the project will be completed within the next two to three months. This particular bridge will function as a service road for the expressway. Additionally, an overhead flyover is being constructed for the main road, with pillars already erected for this purpose. The process of placing girders on these pillars is currently underway.
NHAI officials have reported that progress on the expressway is being made expeditiously across all project areas. The construction of the bridge over the Gurgaon Canal is nearing completion, with expectations that it will be ready for use within the next two to three months. The ongoing efforts signify a commitment to the timely and efficient execution of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Link Road project.
