PM Modi to Inaugurate Multifaceted Development Projects in Ayodhya, Flag Off New Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat Trains on Dec 30

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil a slew of projects in Ayodhya on December 30, encompassing the Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, as well as the inauguration of two Amrit Bharat and six Vande Bharat trains. This comes ahead of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple, aligning with the PM’s vision of modern infrastructure development while preserving Ayodhya’s rich heritage.

With a total investment exceeding ₹15,700 crore, the projects aim to enhance connectivity, modernize civic amenities, and complement Ayodhya’s historical and cultural legacy. The Amrit Bharat trains, featuring improved passenger facilities, will debut during the event, ushering in a new era of high-speed travel.

The list of trains scheduled for inauguration includes:

Amrit Bharat Trains:

  1. Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express
  2. Malda Town-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express

Vande Bharat Trains:

  1. Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal
  2. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi
  3. Amritsar-Delhi
  4. Coimbatore-Bangalore Cantt
  5. Mangalore-Madgaon
  6. Jalna-Mumbai

In addition to the train launches, PM Modi will inaugurate several other crucial projects:

  1. Ayodhya Airport, reportedly named after sage poet Maharishi Valmiki.
  2. Three railway projects valued at ₹2300 crore, including the Rooma Chakeri-Chanderi third line project, Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project segments, and the doubling/electrification project of the Malhaur-Daliganj railway section.
  3. Development and enhancement of tourist amenities, covering areas from Naya Ghat to Laxman Ghat, with projects such as a visitor gallery, renovation of the pilgrim path, and more.
  4. Ambitious greenfield township valued at over ₹2180 crore and the Vashishtha Kunj Residential Scheme estimated at around ₹300 crore.
  5. Foundation stone laying for various infrastructure projects, including the Lucknow-Ayodhya section of NH-28 (new NH-27), modification of the existing Ayodhya bypass, setting up the CIPET center, and construction of offices for the Municipal Corporation Ayodhya and Ayodhya Development Authority.
