Private Firms Permitted to Purchase DDA Flats in Bulk for Hostels or Staff Quarters

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has amended the DDA (Management and Disposal of Housing Estate) Regulations, 1968, allowing private companies to buy DDA flats in bulk for utilization as hostels or staff quarters.

In a meeting on Tuesday, the DDA granted permission for non-governmental entities to acquire built-up properties in bulk from the authority.

According to a statement by the DDA, any private entity with a registered office or campus in the Delhi/NCR region is now eligible to purchase DDA residential flats in bulk for purposes such as residential staff quarters and hostels. This policy is designed to foster the growth and development of private industrial, educational, and other sectors in emerging areas like Narela, contributing to the overall development of the city.

As part of the initiative, the DDA will also provide discounts of up to 25% for Middle-Income Group (MIG) flats in Narela Sector A1-A4.

Discounts of 15% for the general public and 25% for employees of Central Government, State Government, and Government Autonomous bodies will be offered as incentives for over 440 flats in Sector A1-A4, Narela, under the ongoing first-come, first-served (FCFS) scheme.

Located close to GT Karnal Road, Urban Extension Road-II, and the proposed metro line, Sector A1-A4 is strategically situated. The incentive scheme aims to make homeownership more accessible for the middle class and government employees in Delhi.

Additionally, a 15% discount is being provided on 246 Low-Income Group (LIG) flats in Ramgarh Colony compared to the prices offered in the previous Special Housing Scheme 2021. Ramgarh Colony is well-connected, with its proximity to the Jahangirpuri Metro Station of DMRC, a bus stop, and the main road connecting Mukarba Chowk and Azadpur, all within walking distance.
