Road and Footpath Repair Initiatives Commence in Noida’s 100x Sectors

Efforts to widen and repair roads, footpaths, speed breakers, and signboards have commenced in the 100x sectors of Noida. The focus is particularly on addressing the narrow, pothole-ridden road near Yadu Public School, a crucial connector road between Sector 122 and sectors 120, 121, 117, and Sarfabad.

The deteriorating condition of this road has led to frequent traffic snarls in the area, affecting over 3 lakh residents of condominiums and neighboring villages. The local community has long been advocating for road repairs and other infrastructure improvements.

Additional works include drain cleaning, installation of streetlights and high masts in poorly lit areas, addition of speed breakers, signage for sectors and societies, covering of open drains, repair of the broken Ganga pipeline, resurfacing of main and service roads, and footpath tiling near Amrapali Zodiac Sector 120.

Nikhil Singhal, president of the Noida Highrise Federation 100x (NHRF), expressed gratitude that the road repair work has finally commenced following their persistent efforts and representations to MP Mahesh Sharma. He highlighted the dangers posed by potholes near Yadu Public School, causing accidents and traffic congestion, which are now being addressed.

Moreover, Singhal emphasized the importance of installing signboards for speed breakers, U-turns, and society names to enhance road safety and navigation. The NHRF has taken proactive steps to install warning signs along the road and facilitate repairs to alleviate the inconvenience faced by residents.

Avinash Kumar, treasurer of NHRF 100x, highlighted the significance of these initiatives in improving commuter safety and convenience. The installation of warning signboards and road restoration measures will contribute to a safer and more seamless commuting experience for all residents and commuters in the area.
