Hyderabad: The Government of Telangana has announced a massive public auction of 2BHK commercial shops across Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri and Ranga Reddy districts in April 2026. The initiative is part of the state’s flagship housing programme aimed at utilizing vacant commercial spaces in 2BHK housing colonies.
The auctions will be conducted by district authorities including the District Collectors and Revenue Divisional Officers, offering a major opportunity for small businesses, traders and investors to secure affordable retail spaces in high-demand residential areas.
Hyderabad District Auction Details
In Hyderabad, the auction will take place on April 15 and 16, 2026 at designated RDO offices.
A total of 77 commercial shops will be auctioned across key locations such as Bandlaguda, Jangammet, Parutnagar, Dhoolpet, Kamala Nagar, Chilakalguda and LB Nagar.
The shop sizes range from 66 sq.ft. to 244 sq.ft., while the upset price varies between ₹5,000 and ₹20,000 per sq.ft. The earnest money deposit is ₹30,000.
Bidders must submit a Demand Draft in favour of the District Collector, Hyderabad between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM on the day of the auction.
Medchal Malkajgiri District Auction
In Medchal Malkajgiri, authorities have announced auctions on April 15 and 17, 2026, covering a large inventory of 892 commercial shops.
Key locations include Chaitanya Nagar, Rampally, Ahmedguda, Bachupally, Nizampet, Dundigal, Keesara and Jawahar Nagar.
The shop sizes range from 45 sq.ft. to 399 sq.ft., with upset prices between ₹2,000 and ₹3,920 per sq.ft. The EMD amount is ₹35,000.
Major clusters include Dundigal with 273 shops and Ahmedguda with 156 shops, making this district one of the largest contributors to the auction.
Ranga Reddy District Auction
In Ranga Reddy district, auctions will be conducted on April 9 and 10, 2026, covering 273 commercial units across emerging suburban locations.
Areas include Thattiannaram, Hattiguda, Thimmaiguda, Abdullapur, Mankhal, Mansanpally, Narsingi and Shankarpally.
The shop sizes range from 21 sq.ft. to 272 sq.ft., with prices starting from ₹1,500 to ₹5,000 per sq.ft. The EMD amount is ₹36,000.
Shankarpally and Mansanpally account for a significant number of units, attracting strong interest from investors.
Auction Guidelines and Process
All auctions will be conducted on an as is where is basis, meaning buyers must assess the property condition before bidding.
Participants must note that
- EMD submission timing is strictly between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM on auction day
- Only Demand Drafts from nationalized or scheduled banks will be accepted
- Auctions will be held at the respective RDO offices
- If the auction date falls on a holiday, it will be shifted to the next working day
