Five 108 ambulances have been deployed at the spot.

Accident happened during shift changing

According to media reports, the night shift workers were coming out of the tunnel, while the next shift workers were going inside. The tunnel was closed due to debris coming from the upper part, about 300 meters from the main entrance of the tunnel. 40 to 50 laborers were working within about 2700 meters from here. The line laid to supply oxygen to the workplace was also destroyed by the debris. However, project officials are claiming that adequate amount of water and oxygen is available inside.
