In the recent MHADA Pune lottery for 2023, there has been a remarkable response, with over 73,000 applications received for the sale of 5,863 affordable homes. These homes come with a price range starting from as low as Rs 5 lakh and going up to Rs 1.11 crore, as per data provided by MHADA. The application deadline was October 30, and the results of the lottery are scheduled to be announced on November 24.
This lottery, announced by the Pune board on September 6, covers affordable housing options in Pune, Solapur, Sangli, and Kolhapur. Out of the 5,863 homes, 2,445 are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
MHADA officials have reported that they received earnest money deposits (EMD) from more than 51,000 prospective homebuyers as of October. It’s likely that this number has increased, given that the last date for EMD payment was October 31. The eagerly awaited results will be unveiled on November 24.
The apartments available through the MHADA Pune lottery come in various sizes and configurations, including 1 RK, 1 BHK, 2 BHK, and 3 BHK. The smallest apartment offers a carpet area of 204 sq ft, while the largest extends to 1,087 sq ft.
Among these apartments, the costliest one is a 3 BHK unit in the Sant Tukaram Nagar area of Pimpri in Pune district. This luxurious apartment is priced at Rs 1.11 crore and boasts a carpet area of 882 sq ft. On the other end of the spectrum, the most affordable option is a 312 sq ft carpet area apartment in Kagal, a town in Kolhapur district, priced at just Rs 5 lakh.
The distribution of these apartments is as follows: 5,425 are located in Pune district, 69 in Solapur district, 32 in Sangli district, and 337 in Kolhapur district. Out of the total available apartments, 430 are included in the lottery under the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana (PMAY) scheme, while 2,445 are available on a first-come, first-served basis in Pune district.
