Shree Cement Limited has successfully commissioned a cutting-edge kiln at its newly integrated production facility in Nawalgarh, Rajasthan. With an impressive rated capacity of 11,500 tonnes per day, this kiln ranks among the world’s highest-capacity units. Boasting advanced technology, the kiln enables the utilization of alternative fuels, ensuring optimal energy efficiency.
The new cement plant, valued at Rs 3,500 crore, has an annual production capacity of 3.5 million tonnes of cement. A noteworthy feature of the plant is the inclusion of a 33 MW waste heat recovery-based power plant, a significant stride towards electricity generation without reliance on fossil fuels. This innovative approach harnesses waste gases from the clinkerisation process, aligning with Shree Cement’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
Shree Cement Managing Director Neeraj Akhoury expressed enthusiasm about the commissioning of the kiln, stating, “In our pursuit to become an 80 million tonnes company by the year 2028, we are thrilled to announce the commissioning of the kiln at our new integrated facility in Nawalgarh, Rajasthan. This state-of-the-art facility is the most modern plant of the company.”
Strategically located in Nawalgarh, the plant is poised to cater to high-consumption cement markets, including the National Capital Region, Punjab, and Haryana. This marks Shree Cement’s fifth integrated production facility, underscoring the company’s commitment to technological excellence and sustainable practices. The incorporation of cutting-edge technology not only enhances production capacity but also positions Shree Cement as a key player in the evolving landscape of the cement industry.
