Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Vadodara-Bharuch section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and dedicated various development projects in sectors such as road, rail, energy, health, internet connectivity, urban development, water supply, and tourism. The event marked a significant milestone in Gujarat’s infrastructure development.
PM Modi, after inaugurating the expressway section, emphasized its role in enhancing connectivity between major economic hubs and ensuring a smoother journey for numerous people. The government’s focus on building a robust road network in Gujarat was highlighted, with the completion of three sections of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway.
The completed sections include a 31 km stretch from Manubar to Sampa costing over ₹2,400 crore, a 32 km stretch from Sampa to Padra costing over ₹3,200 crore, and a 23 km stretch from Padra to Vadodara costing over ₹4,300 crore.
During a public function in Gujarat’s Navsari, PM Modi dedicated multiple road projects in Bharuch, Navsari, and Valsad. Additionally, he inaugurated a rural drinking water supply project in Tapi and an underground drainage project in Bharuch. The foundation stone for the first PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (MITRA) Park at Vansi Borsi village in Navsari was also laid.
In an earlier engagement, PM Modi participated in the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation in Ahmedabad. During his address, he highlighted the government’s achievement of constructing four crore houses for the poor and criticized the Congress party for lacking an agenda beyond personal attacks. PM Modi expressed confidence in the BJP-led NDA winning over 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, citing the strength gained from overcoming such criticisms.
